Our Construction Estimating Philosophy
F&K Estimatings prepares quantity takeoffs and construction estimates from the drawings, specifications and scope information supplied for each project. Deliverables and assumptions are described so clients can review what the estimate includes.
Every quantity survey we deliver is compiled point-by-point directly from the project's digital plans. We audit drawings for dimension discrepancies, identify specification conflicts across trade divisions, and record every pre-bid Request for Information (RFI) so your team submits a fully defensible, competitive proposal.
Estimating Software & Industry Standards
Our estimators use industry-standard preconstruction software packages to provide checkable, transparent deliverables:
- PlanSwift & Bluebeam Revu: Digital vector takeoff platforms producing color-coded markup layers for complete visual verification.
- CSI MasterFormat Organization: Line items organized by the applicable CSI MasterFormat divisions and the agreed estimate structure.
